Title: Fenugreek Liqueur
Categories: Medical Alcohol Beverages
Yield: 16 Oz

2cFENUGREEK TEA brewed see separate recipe
1 Lemon, grated zest of...
1tbSugar, brown, dark
1cWine, vodka

Bring the tea to a boil in a small saucepan, and cook until reduced to 1 cup, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Place a pint canning jar and lid in a large bowl, cover with boiling water, and let them sit for 5 minutes. Using tongs, set them on a clean dish towel to dry.

Pour the reduced tea into the jar. Add the lemon zest, sugar, and vodka. Close the lid tightly without forcing, and shake a few times to combine the ingredients. Label and date the jar, and store it in the refrigerator for 2 weeks for flavours to develop.

Sip slowly, 1/2 to 1 oz at a time.

"Our version of 'Lydia's Compound' lacks black cohosh and unicorn root, but it may be a relaxing way to lower blood cholesterol." *Kevin's note: Fenugreek is known to reduce cholesterol in herbal medicine.
